Admiring nature is an art, a very highly specialized art. Imagine sitting by the river bank or stream just watching tilapia or trout swimming in clear water, or just sitting in a virgin land surrounded by virgin forest with rare species of birds singing songs or shall we say talking to one another.
Bukoba Municipality offers very fascinating scenery and most interesting tourist attractions with rains throughout the year and the land is evergreen everywhere. Lake Victoria is the biggest and the second largest fresh water in Africa. It attracts visitors with its waves, beautiful air breeze and diversified fish varieties with the smallest sardines to the giants like Nile perch.
Musila isle is a good camping site and provides good scenario of vegetation coverage, beautiful species of birds and rocks of different formations.
Other tourist attractions in Bukoba Municipality are Kagera museum, German cemetery, Kyamunene waterfalls in Rubale forest, Bunena stone beach Ntungamo caves and Gymkyana towers.
Bukoba municipality is linked to Dar es salaam, the capital city of Tanzania by three ways.First by air from Dare s salaam to Bukoba which takes two and a half hours.
The other approach into the municipality from Dar es salaam is by road covering distance of about 1520 kms of good road passing through Morogoro, Dodoma, Singida , Nzega, Kahama,Chato, Muleba into Bukoba town by very reliable good coaches.
Another method is by air from Dar es salaam to Mwanza which takes 2.30 hours, then by reliable marine service from Mwanza to Bukoba. Once you are in the municipality hotel accommodation is in plenty at Kolping, WalkGuard, Lwabizi, Victorious Perch to mention only a few.
